I have one old domain name I own called ReachM.com. ( ReachM
Communications,catchy, no?) My thought was to try and display my writing
skills in pursuit of freelance writing gigs again.
Well, I'm still working on that site..... but in the meantime, I decided to
check into this whole blog phenomenon (blog = we'b-log').
Since I'm no techie, it's harder to get the design I want out of the thing;
my page design and graphic skills are considerably better than this rustic
design displays, but it's a start. I'll prolly figure out how to tweak it
better by the time I get the rest of my site up and running.
For now though, it ain't half-bad for 3 days work . I can post stuff daily
from my browser without breaking a sweat. My initial posts are kinda lame,
but by December, I plan to be posting stuff like news, news commentary,
market commentary, and a few things about music, art and such. ( That's why
I created different characters for different topics.)
Of course, the hard part's gonna be maintainin' that Western theme. I've
never been a cowboy afore, but I reckon ah kin tell which side of a horse
the accelerator's on. Just don't expect no redneck cowboy, y'hear? (I'm
more a pinkneck suburban cowboy).
Anyhoo, the official launch will come when I get the larger site complete,
at which time, I'll move my blog to a different paid host, which means the
URL will change. Till then, you're welcome to visit as I'll try to get
something posted each night. And even if you don't like my posts, I'm sure
you'll find a few better-than-road-apples links in there that might come in
handy. The sole shopping link by itself is a great one that can help ya
with your Christmas shopping.
(The main delay in completing the larger site is the links section because
I've got a thousand bookmarks to sort through to cull out the best for a
separate directory page...... I don't want to replicate a directory with
more links than anyone can surf; I'm aiming for a smaller set of very high
quality ones).
