JOSEPH, there are two very simple yet reliable rules to determine tops and bottoms:

(1) TOP: Percent Bearish falls below 25
(2) BOTTOM: Percent Bearish rises above 40

These Percents refer to newsletter writers (aka advisory services). We hit below 25 just 7 times in the last 5 years (including today). We hit above 40 just 5 times in the last 5 years (including around 10/10).
