Some people label it a "bully" problem, some consider it criminal harassment, some think it just extreme bad manners, some emotional abuse, etc etc. These variances are marginal and so don't effect the essential definition of it and its resolution.

I think you are right that the most constructive way to define "it" is that Chris is guilty of "something." On that point I don't think you'll get any argument from anyone, except Chris, of course.

But I think you underestimate the significance of the variances. Just the other day, while I was here doing yeoman's work trying to bring Chris across to the "something" POV, JLA was on House giving me the back of his hand for not "getting it." I don't think that, if Chris were to come around to the "something" school of thought, the problem would be resolved. It would only shift the fight to one between those who think the "something" was sufficient and those who are committed to the full party line.
