There have been some companies that have been hiring even in tech. MSDW did a survey some months ago with CIOs intentions on tech spending improving. I wouldn't expect them to tip their hands to their suppliers though until it's time to close the deal (make them hungry and hope for better prices). Symc is at an ALL TIME high. No wonder they were hiring???? Biz wasn't all that bad I guess. I still expect stocks will sell off in January again prior to earnings and so for now I'm just sitting tight with what I bought in the last swoon. My guess..................... earnings estimates go up next year and analysts have to chalk another one up to being wrong. TA
