Very good article in the Oregonian regarding Nike partnership. Salient points - under the agreement, r&d teams from both companies will come together to create snowboarding apparell, snowboards, boots and bindings. Nike will begin selling the new apparell this fall and snowboards will follow in 1999. As good as this news is for Marker, it cannot be good news for the little guys. It also removes once and for all the buyout rumours which propped Ride up for so long. I would not have expected the stock to trade off so sharply unless the expectations were of a Nike buyout.
