RESEARCH ALERT-Prudential starts Chiron with 'hold' rating Thursday November 21, 12:00 pm ET NEW YORK, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Prudential Securities analyst John Sonnier on Thursday started coverage of Chiron Corp. (CHIR) with a "hold" rating, saying the biotechnology company is in transition and should see lagging earnings growth over the next 18 months. Sonnier placed a 12-month $41 price target on the stock, which closed at $40.87 on Wednesday.
