"Because you think the ends justify the means... No I don't. "(I think)" Your mystical mind reading powers need a tune up. "I've always thought that means ARE ends." In one respect they are. They may also be objective achievements that are congruous with a more long term goal (end). As such, one does not need to be justified by the other as you suggest. Each can stand alone and/or in the presence of the other with constituent harmony.
