While I would tend to agree with you, the answer is "we just don't know".
I think that there could be something invented/created in the next few years that COULD deliver that kind of growth. Will it? Who knows (probably not)?

Imagine owning Xerox for the years when it had its original patent, nice business to be in, good growth, solid business model.
Imagine owning Xerox now if they'd paid attention to what was going on at Xerox PARC instead of letting Apple and MSFT loot the ideas. I'd be willing to bet the growth would've been phenomenally better than the first 20 odd years.
We'll never know, though. Most businesses lose sight of growth through innovation as they sacrifice themselves on the cross of meeting short term financial goals.
I hope "Innovate" isn't just a word in the HP lexicon, but a real ideal.
