29-33 can NOT be used imo-All bears are different.all have different roots..all have different price actions, momentum and duration.

This one can not be timed using the 29-33 bear. I looked at it and there was virtually no big reprieves in that one. Though timing-wise one could pull up some parallels. But then, why should it be? Was the Fed as active then as it seems to be now (nevermind whether their actions are working or not). Were we the lone superpower then? Many things are different and each imo has to be viewed independently.

This one has had fairly big rallies like the one in 2000 that almost took us back to the top. And even using Sep 2000 as as a starting point, one does not get any similarity. As I think I heard John Roque say, this bear has had higher intensity (ie price with time) than the 29-33 bear. The closest parallel to the NAZ (not the rest of the market) is the Nikkei (imo and so I have seen).
