Re : the "great" Warren Buffett -- just want to remind everyone that the "boys" at Leucadia (full name : Leucadia National Corp.) whose names are : Ian Cumming and Joseph Steinberg have out-performed Warren Buffett's (and Berkshire Hathaway's) performance over a huge, extended period of time. (And, via an easily observed, publicly-traded stock where they made all of the numerous (and non-correlated) investment decisions). Has the "man on the street" heard of Leucadia, Ian Cumming, Joseph Steinberg ? Of course not. They are not out there with numerous obnoxious books written about them, and pitching opening pitches at baseball games, or pretending that they like awful food like Dairy Queen and Cherry Coke, etc. The Leucadia guys actually have my respect ...
