2nd Amendment.It's the ultimate safeguard It's really just a crutch that makes people think they are safer. You will never be armed enough to counter the full armed force of the government, not without a long and protracted guerilla war, like Columbia or Guatemala or something. This is the type of war that creates terrorists out of frustrated 2nd amendment fanatics. The only real protection from a government gone wild, is to prevent it through an effective system of checks on power, and power sharing. Checks and Balances are powered by the free exchange of information. This is the real protection that Bush and Company are chipping away at through secrecy and the elimination of an independant judiciary. TP
