Besides, the US already is Iraq's oil importer #1 (source: Newsweek).

Iraq isn't pumping anywhere near capacity. The American oil companies will expand the pump, reaping big profits. The oil should begin to hit the market 5-10 years from now, right about when the economy has shaken off the effects of our recent credit bubble.

As for the US military-industrial complex, well, what have the Pentagon and its industrial contractors (Boeing, Lucent, Raytheon, GE, General Dynamics, etc) to gain out of a "war against terrorism"?? NOTHING... N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!

Exactly. That is why the military-industrial complex is pushing the war on Iraq, because that effort will require all sorts of military gear.
