I agree that we're a long way from a secular bottom. But conditions are right for a cyclical bull, the stars are aligned, the bullish part of the 4 yr. presidential cycle lies ahead, etc.

As for ridiculous valuations- Dr. Ed's methods show us well undervalued at present. So that's a matter of opinion I guess. 205.232.165.149

Why aren't the insiders buying like mad? Well I can think of a couple of reasons. One- they've been burned by buying previous 'bottoms', and are understandably skittish. Two- their companies aren't giving out 'free money' like they once were. Three- they really don't know if things are going to get better. Four- they may actually be low on cash themselves, and have learned their lesson about margining.

In other words, the mentality has come full circle from the heady days of the raging bull..
