It does sound like that is what the patent covers. Howover, they seem like a "mail-order music retailer. The aptent would cover it if you could simply "download" the music onto your re-writable CD, disc, hard-drive, etc. musicblvd.com

The only similarity between GIFT and IDID is that (at this pt) both are dissapointments for those who bought high. IDID was a fraud. This is a patent. The only issue is when and to what extent wil it be enforceable. For that we have to wait for the Ct decisions. This litigation has no guaranteed deadlines so that on a "date certain" there WILL be a determination. I have the patience and the confidence that the Ct determination WILL be very positive for GIFT.

Drag it out 'till it expires- Correct me if I am wrong, GRC - Not only al those being sued, but also all those put on NOTICE (remember the "Amnesty Notices" of a year ago) will have to "pay up" (GIFT will have a right to royalties) from all the "violators" through the date the patent expires if the litig was unresolved until after that date.

Soooo, what is at stake is GIFT rights from this entire expanding industry.

Mr F - How many Notices went out during Amnesty
How many to newly discovered violators since. thanks. Mel
