We don't always know when a dishonest person is telling the truth or deceiving us. We also don't always know when a person who we thing to be honest is telling the truth or deceiving us. That's the way of the world. Our difference is actually quite simple. You view SI as an extension of your 3D world, so that the basic rules of behavior that prevail in the 3D world apply here. I view SI as something apart from the 3D world, with a completely different set of rules and no assumption that 3D rules will or even should apply here. Yours works for you. Mine works for me. I don't try to force you to adopt mine or criticize you when you don't follow my rules. I ask you to grant the same respect to me and not try to force me to adopt yours or criticize me when I don't follow your rules. That way, we can get along fine and have fun discussing topics like free speech, books, world affairs, and other interesting subjects..
