These little guys are all over the place now. I think we now have both corculus and occidentalis out our way. I think they first showed up in Pennsylvania and have spread throughout the east from there. Now, that's what you call "alien invasions". BTW, that's one of the things that I do get rather involved in...invasive species stuff. Zebra mussels.. phragmites grasses..that kind of thing. Very interesting and often rather terrifying in their own way.
