Aren't you getting just a bit ahead of yourself and Qualcomm?

Qualcomm publishes chipset roadmaps (to the public not just internal and to customers under NDA) with products scheduled to sample as much as 24 months in advance. Weirdest thing I have ever seen in the semi industry (the public part) at least as it pertains to major players.

Qualcomm publishes press releases formally releasing products as much as 18 months in advance of sampling dates which leads to production deliveries 24 to 36 months from original announcement for whole product delivery from their vendors.

If Qualcomm can't meet their original scheduled sampling date they publish a NEW press release (failing to mention the prior formal release) and schedule a new date. Evidently in their mind the new PR cancels and supercedes the old one. In my mind they like to rewrite history every 3 to 6 months.

When product finally samples they pronounce it on-time even though it is late and last year they sampled one key product 4 months late and one 3 months late and called them on-time.

Now with all these shenanigans, have you seen a formal product announcement or even a roadmap for a combo cdma/W-Fi chip from Qualcomm?

Or is this just we can do anything someday BS?
