Alaska has a bad problem right now with introduced pike wiping out salmon and trout, and the threat of exotic plants is starting to become apparent. One of the bad ones is a Japanese import called false bamboo. Yet I was at a garden show earlier this year where the hostess was happily giving away fee samples.
