Time will tell what happens with real estate prices.

Whether real estate or stocks, no one can buy at the exact low and sell at the exact high. Good returns don't require perfection, but an awareness of valuation is essential. As is an awareness of risk.

Economist and psychologist Daniel Kahneman won the 2002 Nobel prize explaining how prone humans are to overconfidence, or the belief that we know more than we really do. It's important that we invest in such a way that the unexpected does not clean out our life savings, even though we "know" that won't happen.
