You must be about the same age as I.

If the US had actually bit the bullet and decided to fight that war, it could have won it. Vietnam and NV forces never defeated US forces. But fighting it would probably have required invading NV if they would not withdraw from the south. And then was not going to happen.

The only realistic alternative, given that, was withdrawal. Instead our Dumbocrat President decided to cut the baby in half. And 65,000 good American lives were lost.

I never considered the US servicemen who fought it to be anything but good Americans doing the nasty work their country had asked of them. I did consider the anti-war protestors to be largely treasonous scum.

And Jane Fonda should have been tried, convicted, stood against a wall, and shot.
