What this means, Hawk, is that Bush wants war no matter what which thereby negates your statement... No Karen.. Bush does not want war.. He wants a regime change in Iraq so that Saddam Hussein is no longer in power or pursuing WMDs (or using the Palestinian issue as a distraction).. An ouster of Saddam does not necessarily require war. But IT DOES require a credible threat of war being waged if Saddam is not removed. Remove that credible threat and there is simply NO reason for Saddam to worry, nor an impetus for the creation of resistance or a viable post-Saddam government to overthrow him internally. It's like threatening punishment for the misbehavior of your children.. If they know you're too "soft" to execute that punishment, they are going to ignore you and do what they want anyway... And they will lose all respect for you along the way. There has been NO compliance. We identified thousands of tonnes of materials involved in chemical and biological weapons production, of which only about 1/2 had been accounted for before the inspectors left Iraq. That means we KNOW Saddam has WMDs that he has not declared. And since people like you don't believe in "consequences" for disobeying the will of the world, we have to rely upon your "visionaries"... Visionary folks realize this is not the way to proceed and are trying to reason with Bush. These "visionary" folks have had 12 years to deal with Saddam... Hmmm... Maybe you would like to "stick your neck out" and detail the fabulous plans and strategies that these "visionaries" are offering??? Hawk@ipromisetobegentle.com
