Well, "of course" it was "scotched, we agree on the "of course," if it existed.
And (hypothesizing for a mome that there was in fact such a nasty rumor, started by, whocoulditbe@makesstuffup.com) why, then, did you post these words?:
"There was a rumor awhile back that you were actually a lifer in prison somewhere and this was your form of recreation. I don't know whether that's true or not, but it would explain a lot."
Is there any explanation for updating the rumor that isn't a vicious attempt at using "word play" to get away with spreading yet another plain lie, or rumor you know to be a lie, as the case may be?
