"Respect" is asking a lot and would come with time and credibility, but in gist, you're wrong. I don't know about Laz and jla, but although I have no personal vested interest in an apology from you, I would oppose further attacks, defend you, and post civilly to you, if indeed you "came clean, truly clean."
There is such a thing in this world as remorse and acknowledgment and apology, not as formalities but as manifestations of recognition and change. That is, people do morally redeem themselves. It happens, and it can often help their former victims psychologically when it does.
So you are wrong about that.
If you redeemed yourself, I would cease hating you and possibly over time would remember what I used to like about you; though of course I wouldn't cease hating what you did to people historically. Since you would hate it, too, we'd be on the same wave length.
My suspicion is that Laz would be about where I am, but I haven't spoken to him about this. Solon, too. Poet has, mirabilis dictu, said the same. JLA is a different matter; I have no idea. But you would have defenders, in the hypothetical you propose. Besides X, I mean. She would not want you to be sorry, I suspect.
