Yes, other religions have had their bloody, intolerant periods. But we aren't living in the Dark Ages anymore. Now in the 21st century, the only religion that still seems apparently mired in the dark ages is Islam. And one sees the violence by Moslems against outsiders cropping up all over the place - Phillipines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Chechnya, Palestine, Sudan, Nigeria, Mauretania, etc.
