... I remember your Siemens / Nigeria story (we heard it some time ago). In my case, my employer could hire me (g). Just shows, how flexible the Betriebsrat is. It's not just a question of hiring policies - it's the wages etc etc. One mistake one should avoid, is coating the whole of Germany with this same colour - there's exceptions and good exceptions (Volkswagen for instance and Semis). I still subscribe to the idea and practice of collective bargaining, but on a level that takes into account the realities - let's give Germany a break, ´meine Herren...
