Re Comparing Saddam's torture record to Turkey's record is defending Saddam.

No it is not. What you are saying is logically false - one does not follow the other.

I am merely pointing out that the fact of Saddam running a cruel regime that allows and condones torture on not only men but women and children is not sufficient justification for "regime change", because even a US ally is notorious in this area.

What I am saying is that if you want to support the all-out invasion of another country, you need to find better justification. If it were reason enough, than the US should also be contemplating regime change in Turkey, instead of being best-buddies with them.

I don't understand how you can defend that bastard and sleep nights.

And I don't understand what makes you think I defend Saddam. I have no reason to defend Saddam and nor have I ever done so. He is a violent dictator who inflicts heavy oppression on his own people.
