Harley-Davidson short report from schaeffer

Harley-Davidson (NYSE:HDI) has seen some interest in its future per the Yahoo! Message Boards of late, without any real news to account for the attention. Technically speaking, the stock is struggling to maintain its long-term uptrend that has been in place for over five years. After fighting back above its 10-month and 20-month moving averages in October, the security has again breached these long-term trendlines. What's more, the equity's 10-month appears to be rolling lower. Sentiment for HDI reflects a bearish front. First, Schaeffer's put/call open interest ratio (SOIR) for HDI weighs in at 1.40, in the top 20 percent of all readings measured over the past 12 months. Also, the number of shorted HDI shares climbed by 20 percent last month to over 17.6 million, generating a hefty short-interest ratio of over nine times.
