All I was saying is that Democracy is not a prerequisite for market economies (although they might reach their highest and best fruition under Democracy).

China seems to be running away from their Marxist/Leninist roots as fast as they can... and towards market economics, but while clinging as much as possible to Authoritarian rule.

The model seems to be Singapore, not the U.S.

When the 'dictatorship of the proletariat' morphs into a dictatorship of entrenched power and money hungry elements, what is that form?

Is it a 'Mob-ocracy' in the Russian style, is it 'apolitical', or is it a segue-way into National Socialism?
