I expect SOX to outperform COMP from current divider of 4X to about 3.2X. COMP is 1482 and SOX is 374 at the close today. That divider is now 3.95, as SOX was up 3% and COMP was up just 0.9%. Now, I would also expect that SOX has a greater beta than COMP, which would mean a downturn in the markets would mean SOX falling faster than COMP. If these two expectations hold true, than it would indicate more gains for the market and greater gains for SOX. At the rate of movement for this divider, it would probably reach the 3.2 level by mid-January.
