Biased article? Show me an article that isn't biased. Bias is the selective inclusion of fact and impossible to overcome, which always leaves the issue open to some interpretation.

The amendment in question was intended to circumvent an attempt to hold vaccine manufacturers liable for injuries caused by vaccines. Republicans argued that since there are already legal mechanisms for the adjudication of claims in this area, manufactureres should not be left open to unlimited claims for damages.

The fact that you can claim that the issue needed to be passed so that vaccine manufacturers could freely develop remedies for biological warfare is a rhetorical two-step parroting the right-wing mantra that could be applied to ANY attempt to thwart their entire agenda. It also suggests that you believe the vaccine manufacturers would be within their rights to hold the entire country hostage should there be a need for a biological remedy that wasn't protected from liability claims. How patriotic would THAT be?
