Could you provide some more data on this statement. I already showed you that just the interest on a $180 subsidy cost you about $2.20 a month. So out of a $9.95 subscription, $2.20 goes to fund interest on your subsidy.

You seem to be thinking these subsidies go on forever. You do realize that, over time, the subsidy decreases and eventually should go away altogether?

Let me ask you a question.. When did you buy your XM receiver? Do you see yourself "upgrading" that unit to a newer system? One of those nifty "SkyFi" units? How often do you buy a new car?

I've had mine a year. While the newer units are nice, I don't envision going to the hassle to put it in my current car; I'll probably just wait & get a factory unit when I buy another car. We are, however, going to purchase a SkyFi in January to use in the house (and perhaps occasionally in my wife's car). I buy a new car every 3-4 years.
