Jailing Journalists
or
Contempt of Court

The United States has a penchant for jailing journalists who refuse to reveal their sources. This is not done in many of the countries that ranked higher then the United States even though they also have secrets to keep. The desire for peace that Canadians express is not simply ideal musing, we have done a very good job of creating a peaceful society, a haven you might say, especially when you begin to make per capita comparisons of violent deaths with other countries. I will tell you without a moments hesitation that Canadians do not feel in any way that we are beholden to America for any of the freedoms we enjoy. Your seem to be saying that size is the only component when it comes to satisfying...leadership requirements that is, this is a fallacy. Leaders should lead, if a leader glances behind and sees no one else following, that is pretty good evidence that no leading is occurring, regardless of claims to the contrary. American hawks have trouble seeing that leading the charge is different than rushing the enemy alone.

It may come as a surprise to many Americans when they first learn that the United States has never made decisions for Canada, the 49th parallel was an agreement.
