War games or mock meetings can be useful in helping illustrate the range of interests in play and in generating various scenarios or questions that might be worth further exploration. This one was decent at the former, I think--especially for people who may not know exactly how top level government decisionmakers think. Pollack and Trainor were very good, I thought; Sherman and Woolsey also good; and Gelb useful in pressing people to come up with actionable suggestions. Ibrahim was a bit off the reservation; he disagrees with the general policy so much, obviously, that he couldn't really get into the game properly. If people want to know just how the US is likely to react to minor-league Iraqi shenanigans over the next month, they might do well to catch this if it's rerun...
