NT people, for what it is worth, I was in Las Vegas last week (vacation) and had several interesting conversations at the blackjack table with a number of hi-tech people from Ontario. Business has been just awful for the past 12 months, with very little order activity or hope for optimism; however in the last 1-2 months, it appears that things are looking up as orders are starting to come in. Nothing big, but a steady stream of activity and positive comment from customers. Both people I talked to were in the optical side of the business. In addition, I prodded about JDSU or NT as being the better long-term bet and in both instances I was told with a smurking smile that NT is the better of the two, hands down and will be a survivor and the better investment. Unfortunately, I was under the influence and there is only so much pumping one can do while drunk, playing cards and trying to hit on the lady next to me, which later disappeared.
