Re NVLS

Yes, I saw that news about Intel raising prices. I also saw that this is the same Intel, major customer of NVLS, who said last month that they would cut back on their spending on equipment.

In light of no apparent improvement in semi equipment spending, I still do not see what is so positive about NVLS that it should trade at 134x P/E and 6x EV/Rev.

What is it about the shorters ? Are you guys puritanical kill-joys that see it as your duty and obligation to chastise profligate buyers, by causing them financial pain for their foolish purchase ? If shorters were such geniuses at discerning market moves....

Hmm. Sorry if I hurt your feelings with my intended short on NVLS.

First of all, I am not a "guy", I am a girl. Second, my "duty and obligation" is to make money for my fund, and that sometimes includes selling short the stocks I feel are overvalued. While it would certainly be fun at times to "chastise" certain posters in SI, trust me when I say that it is not my primary motivation when doing options on tech stocks. In fact, selling calls is all we have done throughout the year 2002, and guess what, we made money.

Anyway, I would appreciate comments on NVLS and thoughts on where "Koolaid gang" feels the semiconductor equipment is headed in the coming months.
