J-F, I recently read a long piece in The Atlantic about computer security. It was really a profile of one of the pre-eminent computer security geeks there is. If I remember correctly it would be his view that what we are up to here with this centralized national database-aside from it being a great leap into an Orwellian world-is that it may be the stupidest thing we could possibly do.
