Failure in school in strongly correlated with a chaotic home environment. If we cannot take these children away from their parents, we could at least ensure that they are not unsupervised in the late afternoon, and get help with homework...... That's the tragic cycle... Poverty leads to long work hours leads to no supervision and broken homes leads to violence and lack of education which leads to poverty which............ Where do we cut the Gordian Knot? Derek
