Bob, I called them Model T's because that is what they are. Once the case for high atmosphere wireless infrastructure is cast, real money will pour into them, the sphere lends itself to being a partioned antenna, like segments of a geodesic dome. The state of the art today will soon become the Model T we only vaguely remember.
