There are tribes in Africa that count: one, two, three, many. That does not mean that Western mathematics is invalid. I have had people deny that there were important differences between man and beast, which is totally absurd,and merely obstructionist. Now, I am not quite sure from your account how you mean to use self- evidence in relation to charity, and therefore I am not ratifying your account. I am merely saying that the fact that one cannot get universal assent does not have anything to do with the inherent universality of the proposition, if the people are just ignorant or perverse.........
