if you think humans are beasts, as many scientists do, it is hard to see a difference. When the thinking is we are part of the beast kingdom- we are a different kind of beast, but still, a beast. As of course we are- we (We humans who use the Linnaeus' system anyway) classify ourselves as kingdom animalia, phylum chordata, class mammalia, etc....
