Microsoft is to boost its R&D expenses from 2.2 to 2.6 billion with most of that being spend on its recent media/telecommunication involvement (please see biz.yahoo.com. I think I am more convinced than before that Microsoft is now going aggressively after controlling of the highways, rather than just providing the cars that travel on those highways! This is a brilliant strategy and one which also benefits Sun and all server makers astronomically! I think another 5-6% drop in Microsoft and I will also buy back some of the MSFT shares I sold earlier. If they are truly successful to once again shift their entire business strategy so they can truly dance around to Sun's music without them tryin to compose the music (and just leave that to Sun), Microsoft may be able to continue having its historic growth.
