Stretch out the VIX a little further. Like this: stockcharts.com[r,a]whclynay[d19940101,20021127][pb50!b200][iub14!la12,26,9][j8523207,y]&listNum=1 Look at the double top of 10/97 and 10/98 and compare it to 9/01 and 8/02-10/02 Look at the MACD at those points as well as the trough between each of the tops too. Now I really am not expecting anything like the rally from the Oct 98 lows Fundamentally, it just won't happen again. But those two double tops look very similar. Probably no current reason the markets can't continue to rally at least into warnings season. And if Q4 earnings are spun with enough sugar coating(pro forma) We could have a pretty long rally still within this bear market. Well, I'm whooped, and we've been getting one heck of a snow storm for the last few hours. Added to the snow we got the past few days and I'm looking at nearly a foot on the ground. Total white outs driving home too, had to turn the headlights off just to see the road! Suppose to continue all through out the day tomorrow. And no, I don't have the plow on the truck yet. Doh!
