Excuse me, who told you that? That is the favorite lament of the right. In any case, there are degrees of defense. Who says we have to be armed to the teeth and capable of blowing the world up three times over? Besides, defense is just one of several things for which the national gov't is responsible? 90% of the other crap it does shouldn't be funded in the first place. And who told you that? I love these brilliant pronouncements spoken with great authority. Besides, what's crap to you may be gold to someone else. Frankly, IMO, what's crap, literally and figuratively, is spending thousands on a navy toilet seat. That may make you happy but it pisses me off! Have a good one! ted
