Unfortunately, the Israel/Palestinian conflict is no longer a local religious war. It already involves the great powers, many, many people and is developing a momentum of its own.

What pees me off, if you pardon the expression, is that it is the result of religious fanatics on both sides. Don't forget, they were close to peace a few years ago but a crazy Israeli murdered Rabin. Since then, the situation has gone from bad to worse and is drawing the whole world in.

I still don't see how anyone can win. In fact, we will all lose. That is why I am bleating all the time about an enforced peace, in the same way that one would separate fighting dogs. But no-one wants to do it. And that's the reason why I am cross with your gov because they could have done it.
