"paramilitary Boy Scouts " guess your right... I learned how to play capture the flag... It was terrific and exhausting.. We would go away for weekends to a boy scout camp.. First thing the next morning we made the breakfast for the camp , washed the dishes, clean the camp. Usually by 9am. we were out in fresh air in the woods (city kids we never saw woods) and went for a hike... then break for lunch , prepare a fire , cook over it, clean up the area... Then the fun time.. capture the flag... the area was large, wooded hills.. This game would last a few hours and everyone looked forward to it... especially me... I taught the boys to play together, be independent, help out each other,, accept chores. Oh, back home there was always some type of charity drive. "paramilitary Boy Scouts " I also remember our troop 32... marching in a parade one Memorial Day.
