Fry's caters to nerds, they sell things like video boards and memory you can put in yourself... as well as circuit-city type electronics. Fry's used to be a grocery store in Silicon Valley and switched to electronics in the 80s. If you need things like that, you have no choice but to go there.... its a super deep discounter. WRT consumer electronics though, for me Amazon is the way to go. If I never get a salespitch for an extended warranty again it will be too soon.
