> With all the solid backing their technology has received, they should be selling like crazy.
Matt, I think that Heartstream's customer base moves slowly and carefully. They need budget battles and votes, plus completed cost/benefit studies to justify the major purchase and training expenses entailed.
I'm glad to see Minnesota's pilot study getting published. It doesn't hurt that the study resultls come out of the Mayo Clinic! I'm also encouraged to see the AED interest in Issaquah, a small city in the Seattle metropolis. Seattle has been a national leader in the 911 area. Decisions made here are watched and emulated nationwide.
By the way, I'm not yet invested in HTST. I've been concerned about the competition, and waiting for the picture to firm up, which I think is happening.now.
I've beens concerned about this item: Nov 11 --- Minneapolis --- SurVivaLink Corporation, a manufacturer of automated external defibrillators (AED) used to treat victims of sudden cardiac arrest, today announced that Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE: MDT) has made a $4M equity investment in the privately held company ---going public SVLK.
What a blow to SurVivaLink that a Minesota study favors Washington's Heartstream's AED!
At this point, I plan to do a little more research, then likely buy HTSTduring the next market correction.
