Hmmm...just looked at VLNC, then looked here to see if anyone per chance had stated anything. A nice surge, confirming that the low $7's was the new base, IMO. As to why it's surged? Well, Fred had stated something about the 2nd line, plus the first lines conversion, perhaps someone in the know has a "warm and fuzzy" regarding these developments and is acting accordingly? If I'm not mistaken, being out of the office and unable to verify, isn't it about this time that the battery testing results would become clear?
If true then maybe......., well, I can certainly dream.
Meanwhile, I agree with the prior poster who commented on the buy program strategies of houses. They do set their limits and buy accordingly. Anyone out there have access to the appropriate Bloomberg level to determine who's buying?
As to these chat boards moving the price. Nah, maybe a wee bit, but not a jump like this. However, I do feel that chat boards can stimulate things WHEN a stock is surging under momentum. When that happens a layperson(or hell, even a pro) may jump to SI(or other similar sources), run a quick check and may try to make a momentum play based on such "due diligence"(if that term can really apply in that case) as that. It's never a good idea to speculate like that, but if you're a day trader type, and a surging VLNC pops up on your screen, ya just might, if the chat board is intelligent, and provides some modicum of information. So in light of that, let's keep those intelligent posts coming, it may just help a surge when/if VLNC announces major news!
