Who is SI ?
We are not robots, we are people who elected to come here and express ourselves. We only exist because we choose to exist, each one of us is an expression, literally, a sentence punched down with black thread on a white canvas, we are what we write. This dialogue that I am having with you is is a good example of two expressions, the differences in our expressions are clear, mine is natty, you look stunned <g>.
Don't worry, I am still me Doug, I always will be, and I can count on you being you. We disagree on banking, anyone who reads SI knows this, your unique experiences over the years have made you a very interesting poster, you are consistently crazy and I am aware that many people might not understand what you write, might not agree with what they do understand, but view Doug AK with affection. You and I Doug AK, we are in the same community, if we continue to derive anything of value from SI, it will be because at the end of the day, we will remember this simple fact. I see so many people, good and bad who will not be back, so many posters who have stitched their last lines, I am dismayed.
I wonder sometimes if everyone knows that no one really cares what they say, I see so much shallow water on SI today that finding any ground to stand on is a pleasure, even if it is sand, which by the way, contains NO gold. |
