<Food is awfully cheap>...have you gone out to eat lately?...sure, some food is cheaper like imported foods...one that comes to mind is shrimp imported from Asia..U.S. shrimpers can't compete.
how about a loaf of bread produced right here in the U.S. of A? 79 cents 2 years ago..89 cents last year and 99 cents this year.
or how about unit size deflation while unit costs remain the same? ie; 16oz potato chips @2.99...now its 12oz bag for the same price.
same thing with caned goods ie; tuna, soup, beans etc..smaller servings but prices remain the same...still is inflationary.
ofcource theres no change in the subsidized foods like dairy, but i have to wonder if those subsidize payments are going up to the farmers.

one last note..i heard Jim Rogers this am state that raw material costs were going through the roof for MCD and squeezing their margins...no surprise there.
